Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Fire Science provides instruction in fire prevention methods,
fire detection systems, fire codes, fire investigation rescue, safety and salvage procedures, hazardous materials,
pump operations, fire behavior, plans reading and extinguishment. This program assists in qualifying firefighters for
management positions with the Fire Service.
You must be a certified firefighter to apply for this program.

Fire Science- Objectives

- Provide students with an understanding of crisis management, fire suppression and extinguishment methods
- Prepare students to conduct a proper fire scene investigation
- Prepare students for employment with the Fire Service, including management positions
