Program Description
Our Associate of Science degree program with a major in Medical Assisting includes on-site clinical practice that you can complete in your community. Students are trained for patient care duties such as preparation of examination rooms, taking vital signs, minor surgical procedure assistance, injections, venipuncture, lab operations, X-Rays and electrocardiograms. Administrative training includes patient records, billing, appointments, ordering supplies and handling insurance claims. The Keiser University Medical Assisting program is also accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
