Associate of Arts degree in Homeland Security
Program Description
Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Homeland Security provides a comprehensive review of the major components of the Department of Homeland Security, the agencies that comprise the Department, and the laws, authorities and actions of the Department. Hazardous materials identification and handling, acts of terrorism and the response and recovery actions of Homeland Security agencies are detailed, including laws and other legislative actions taken to give authority to the multiple agencies involved
Program Objectives
The following objectives are designed to meet Keiser University’s mission and its objectives.
- To provide students with a comprehensive review of the major components of the Department of Homeland Security
- To develop students’ abilities to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
- To provide students with an understanding of domestic and international terrorism, including the agencies, responses and actions used to deal with it
- To assist graduates in obtaining entry-level employment in Homeland Security areas
